This is the story of a family business that lives to support the Dance that is HAWAII. Serving Island families for 55 years, Mike and Syl Kop are not just a business, but Ohana to the Halau circle. This year (2001) digital photographer and long time Hawaii resident, John Bartlett was given a rare opportunity to share a day in the life of the Hula Supply Center on location in Hilo Hawaii during the 38th ANNUAL MERRIE MONARCH FESTIVAL. It did not take long to note that these two people are deeply commited to providing the best that can be made for the Kumu Hula, the dancers, and the organizations that perpetuate the DANCE. This website is in tribute to the giving heart of the Kop family.
